Representing a couple from Texas who was involved in a bus crash in Biloxi, MS, involving catastrophic injuries.

Oil Field Accident
Representing the son of a man who was killed while working on an oil rig in Texas.

Wrongful death:
Jury verdict in the amount of $3,651,085
Attorney Wooten represented the parents and estate of a 17-year-old girl who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in December 2014. After a two-day trial in the 67th District Court, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of our clients.

On the job injury:
Settled for $2,000,000.00
Client was injured on the job and employer was a non-subscriber to workers' compensation.  Client suffered many broken bones and traumatic head injury. The case settled during litigation. Client received $1,319,292.19 after legal fees and expenses.

Auto collision
Judgment to client $1,882,522.40
Client sustained a closed head injury and multiple bone fractures, include both femurs and pelvis.

Truck wreck head injury:
Settled for $1,800,000.00
Client was hit in the rear by a tractor trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike. Closed head injury. Settled the case on the fourth day of trial. Net amount to client $1,007,535.60.

Truck wreck case:
Settled for $1,155,000.00
Client was rear-ended by a semi-tractor truck and killed instantly.  Case involved multiple defendants and settled during litigation. Client received $672,187.24 after legal fees and expenses.

Breach of contract and negligence:
Obtained judgment in the amount of $1,024,333.80
Client RadioShack sued for breach of contract and negligence after it hired a company to ship a load of cell phones on a truck. The case involved a subcontractor that left the truck unattended. The truck was stolen and the cell phones disappeared.

Premises Liability:
Judgment for $1,001, 867.15
We obtained this judgment for a man who fell and suffered a brain injury and multiple broken bones.

Helicopter crash:
Client was filming a feral hog hunt from a helicopter. The helicopter crashed during flight. Client sustained head and knee injuries. We reached a confidential settlement favorable to the client.

Skydiving accident case:
Obtained judgment following trial in the amount of $760,000
Attorney Wooten and co-counsel represented a 16-year-old girl who was injured in a skydiving accident that occurred in Oklahoma. She survived falling from 3500 feet but suffered serious and disabling injuries including a head injury, a broken back and several internal organ injuries. The skydiving company was found to be responsible due to inadequate training.

Truck Wreck Case:
Settled for $495,000.00
Multiple vehicle accident involving a truck driver. Clients received $252,036.86 after attorney’s fees and case expenses.

Client was sideswiped by a commercial truck.  Client required a neck surgery. Case settled during litigation.  Settlement included the costs of the surgery and rehabilitation. Client received $52,424.86 after legal fees, expenses, and costs of medical care.

Seven-year-old girl bitten in the face by a black Labrador resulting in serious facial lacerations.

Client was hit by a Barnett Shale Tanker truck. Lower back injury.

Bus wreck case:
Five- and six-figure recoveries for three clients
Coby L. Wooten was retained to represent three passengers on a bus wreck while traveling to Choctaw Casino in Oklahoma. All three sustained extensive injuries and recovered substantial settlements.

First client had a fractured back and leg injuries. Total settlement of $231,000, net amount to client was $133,199.25 after attorney fees and medical bills.

Second client sustained head, hand and pelvic injuries. Total settlement of $198,500.00, net amount to client was $137,199.25 after attorney fees and medical bills.

Third client suffered soft tissue neck and back injuries. Total settlement of $65,000.00, net amount to client was $52,390.82 after attorney fees and medical bills.
