Coby Lee Wooten was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 11, 1967. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in December 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in June 1996. He received the Order of Barristers honor while attending his third year.
Coby was admitted to the State Bar of Texas on November 1, 1996. He completed a third year internship with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office and immediately opened his own law firm. Initially working out of his home and concentrating on criminal law. Quickly his firm grew into the firm it is today and concentrates on personal injury litigation.
His focus is primarily on personal injury litigation, including truck accidents, wrongful death cases, drowning cases, and catastrophic injuries. Coby is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Bar Association, Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Tarrant County Criminal Lawyers Association, and the Texas Criminal Lawyers Association. Coby is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts, and the Northern and Western Districts of the United States Federal District Court.
Coby was recognized by the his peers when he was voted as a “Top Attorney in Fort Worth” in 2009 specializing in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and published in the Fort Worth Magazine.
Coby has litigated cases all over the State of Texas and the United States. He has recently successfully settled a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious injuries in the Republic of the Philippines.
Coby is married and has one daughter.
