2 Fatal Texas Truck Accidents Result in Deaths of 2 Drivers

Two recent separate fatal tractor-trailer accidents in Texas highlight just how dangerous such accidents can be in the Lone Star State. Salvador Lozano Delgado, 48, was killed in a truck accident on July 7 on Interstate 10 near Sierra Blanca, Texas, involving two tractor-trailers, according to KFOX 14 News. Delgado was attempting to re-enter Interstate 10 in his pickup truck when a yellow tractor-trailer struck Delgado's vehicle and jackknifed into both lanes. A white tractor-trailer then struck Delgado's pickup truck. Authorities said Delgado died at the scene of the three-vehicle accident, according to KFOX14 News. A passenger in Delgado's truck, Manuel Victor Vargas, was airlifted to University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, according to KFOX 14 News.

The other fatal Texas tractor-trailer accident took the life of Miranda Christine Wade, 38, who was driving a 1995 Toyota 4-Runner SR5 westbound on Highway 18 near Edgemont at the time of accident, according to Argus Leader. Wade's vehicle collided into an approaching eastbound, oversized tractor trailer that had multiple escort and pilot vehicles, according to the Argus Leader. Specifically, Wade's SUV collided with the tractor-trailer's oversized load and went off the road into a ravine. Wade died from injuries sustained in the accident.
